Quarantaine Diaries

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, I was living and working in Bangalore, India. The government quickly announced one of the world’s strictest lockdowns, and like most of us, I found myself spending the next four months in my apartment, searching for answers, personal space, and ways to stay entertained. I was fortunate to navigate the initial phase of the pandemic without major loss: I still had my job, a steady relationship, and no worries about rent. Days passed, and the experience gradually became a unique mix of worry, self-pity, and boredom.

To keep myself busy, I sketched the small daily habits and coping mechanisms of lockdown life. Here is a selection of my favorite scenes.
